I’m Ian McIntyre, and I’m a professional mapmaker.I’m using this blog as a review of my recent search for employment, and chronicling my professional development.
In the last year I completed a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning, as well as earning a graduate certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS or maps). I’ve now embarked on my second career and am employed with CompassCom, a provider of automated vehicle location (AVL) systems.
I’m excited to be learning every day and looking forward to providing value to the company and customers. I’m currently configuring hardware as well administering maps and our own proprietary software systems
